About us

What we're proud of

Our location in Mellor offers the idyllic setting of a traditional 16th century inn on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park. ’The Oddfellows’ is where you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome, excellent real cask ales, fine wines and fabulous British food in cosy surroundings with flagstone floors, exposed timbers and log burners. The dining room upstairs has an exposed oak floor, private dining room and a snug. We are dog friendly and welcome four legged guests alongside their, well behaved, two legged faithful companions.

OUR CELLAR

Our ‘Cask Marque’ approved cellar allows us to stock and offer up to 5 local real ales from brewers such asᅠ Bollington, Thornbridge, Abbeydale, Howard Town, Spitting Feathers, Tweed, Manning along with Marstons which change on a regular basis.  These real ales are offered together with some great keg beers which include San Miguel, Becks Vier, Thatchers Gold Cider and Guinness.
All the cask ales are delivered using traditional in-bar hand pulls with water cooling from cellar to pump to ensure a consistent temperature.

OUR KITCHEN

All our food is freshly prepared and predominantly British, not forgetting the modern twist. Where possible, we use locally sourced ingredients including British Saddleback Pigs reared in Rowarth.
In season we often have fresh venison, rabbit and grouse all courtesy of the Oddies friends.
Bar snacks include our very own ‘Scoddies'.  A hot, runny egg version of the scotch egg and we offer house staples such as Fish & Chips, Steak & Kidney Pudding, hand-made Burgers and 28 day aged steaks.
