Ale House

The cellar at The “Oddies” Ale House has been completely refitted with the latest equipment to ensure the excellent quality of our cask beers, which change on a regular basis and include some local brewers such as Marble and Bollington. These real ales are offered together with some great keg beers which include , Amstel Lager, Thatcher’s Gold Cider, Guinness and Moravka Lager, which is an unpasteurised wheat beer brewed to a traditional Czech recipe in the former malting shed of Joshua Lingard’s Brewery in Buxton.

We have installed two 6-way Eazi Rack stack & tilt systems which again allows us to stock and offer up to five real ales and keep them in excellent condition. The cask ales have an entirely separate system to the kegs and are no longer delivered down the same python system as the keg beers. This allows us to control the temperature within the 9 to 11 degree range which is the preferred temperature for real cask ales. All the cask ales are delivered using traditions in-bar hand pulls with water cooling from cellar to pump to ensure a consistent temperature.

Marston's Since 1834 Marston's have been producing beers of the highest quality and taste in the home of British brewing, Burton Upon Trent.

We only use the finest natural ingredients and craftsmanship available to produce a range of beers for you to enjoy. We don't compromise and believe you shouldn't have to either. www.marstons.co.uk

The Marble Brewery is a small brewery in Manchester, England which makes cask ale from only organic and vegetarian ingredients.

In 2000 the beers became strictly organic and later the same year they became strictly vegan. Marble's ingredients are sourced from non-intensive agriculture and they do not use isinglass finings, usually made from the swim bladder of the sturgeon, to clear the beer. www.marblebeers.co.uk

Bollington Brewing Co Deep in the heart of the Happy Valley, one man has been blending a concoction to put Bollington back on the brewing map.

The Vale Inn, on Adlington Road, has launched its own beer making company, almost 80 years after ale production ceased in the town at the Heavers Brothers’ site on Dyers Close. www.bollingtonbrewing.co.uk
